About Me
My name is Farouk, but most of my friends call me "rouk" for short.
I've worked in marketing for over 10 years.
My career started in big advertising agencies in New York City, like Ogilvy & Mather, Havas Worldwide & Wunderman Thompson Health, on brands like Rolex, American Express, Nationwide Insurance, IBM & many more.
I've also shot and edited video for 10 years, and LOVE emerging technology.
It's tough to fit all of "who I am" in a little about blurb like this, but all that you need to know is that I have had a lot of marketing experiences, life experiences, and it's all a part of what helped this innovative mini-course come together.

My Lucky Lead Magnet Story
Why I created this mini course
"Have you tried creating an interactive lead magnet?"
It was a simple question, but it unlocked everything.
A friend of mine and fellow marketer was talking to me about how they've been working with an awesome Business Coach, but for some reason, none of the lead magnets they were creating were working.
I asked a few questions to get an idea of the situation, and after hearing everything, I said, "Have you tried creating some sort of interactive lead magnet instead?"
Looking at me with a puzzled face, as if it seemed like a valid approach she hadn't thought of, my friend said, "Have you ever built one of them? Because honestly, I don't want to deal with it."
I said sure, explained the process of how I've been playing with Lovable and other no-code tools to create them, and she said, "Well, can you help my client create one? How long would it take?"
Not thinking anything of it at all, I said, "I don't know, after we have all of the details, maybe an hour? It's quick."
That was the unlock.
"An hour?!" She said. "Let's do it!"
To fast forward the story a bit, she gathered the details, gave me everything I needed, and let me "do my magic." After about 30 minutes, I sent her a link to the new lead magnet, an interactive quiz, and asked, "What do you think?"
She wrote back a lot faster than I expected and said, "Wow, that was fast! How did you do that?!" She was both amazed and excited, but that was only the first step.
What happened next is what made me realize that I might be on to something here.
To fast forward a little bit again, the quiz went live, her client started sending traffic to it, and the conversions started pouring in about a week later.
Unlike the PDFs she was trying for so long, this new quiz was getting people to submit their email, and even better, it was giving her client, the business coach, intel into exactly what those people who were using the lead magnet needed help with.
